<description>Topic: Grim British Coastal Towns

Message: Anyone, on here from the west.has anyone ever been to Avonmouth. :o Fuck me, even our friends from accross the sea move out. Real grim. I was supprised by how horrible Hastings was, we went about 16years ago, we drove in &#38; straight out again. Same with Whitehaven. I always liked the lyrics 'like a seaside town, they forgot to close down'. I remember seeing somethin on the telly based in Rhyl. Really fuckin horrible. Especially somebloke in the pub with a blown up kidney, due to some infection. But he was still ramming vodka down his neck :rolleyes:Llandudno, is a cracking place, by the way. That old tram is brilliant.

Message: There's an airport.. Not cheap to fly though, most of the Welsh lads went to Dubrovnik or Split. Cities having a bit of Mafia/EC money spent on it, lots of designer shops in out bit, the new bit. With a few more clubs it could become a bit of a stag magnet. Budva and Kotor on the coast supposed to be lively and lovely respectively, about 45 minutes away.

It's like that in Bucharest as well, the women are stunning... but the men are a fucking shambles. The &#34;stylish&#34; ones mince around with dodgy barnets and poncy pointy shoes. They really don't deserve the goddesses that their country has been blessed with.
Budapest is the same - hardly ever see a bloke, but the women are gorgeous and always dressed the part. Same in Vienna.

We have just driven from St.Malo to Murcia and back for the annual hols.French ones were over priced with stinking toilets, whilst the Spanish ones were calm, clean and cheap.Did the outgoing leg in a 'oner'-1005 miles in 22 hours-lots of red bull and coffee made it possible -but never again, the next two days were like a hangover without the booze!.On the way back we took 2 days and stopped the night in San Sebastian which we thought was a superb city-loads of backstreet Tapas bars and friendly folk.Dearest beer in France was St.Malo-8 euro for a half litre. Most i paid in Spain was 2.5 euro-no competion.
You should've popped in for a beer...Done Caen - Murcia and Calais - Murcia and back a few times in straight throughers. Power nap on the shuttle or twenty minutes in a service station car park sufficient. That and coffee, red bull and whizz.

I once did Caen to Granada in one hit off the overnight ferry and the same on the way back. Took 15 hours and was horrible&#160; and miserable - we stopped to pick up a McDs at drive through in Bordeaux and a coffee outside Madrid and that was it. Never do it again. One stop you can get away with, but if your doing the tunnel and then driving on the other side that can be a long old day.Couldn't find a decent hotel in San Sebastian on the way down or the way back (left it too late both times) otherwise we'd have stopped off there as well - it is a dead nice stop off. That last service station just before you cross the border into France is always chocker. 1.14€ a litre compared with 1.48€ on the french side, the robbing bastards (its 1.25€ in the towns)
