Topic: Old TV Shows you barely remember

Anyone remember The Kelly Monteith Show?  I recall it was quite unusual to have a Yank on one of our 3 stations back then.  Remember enjoyin git as it seemd quite fresh, I imagine it would be standard sitcom with an American accent but set in London.  Was it before it's time or was it shit?

Also starred Nick Drak's sister Gabrielle.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Re: Old TV Shows you barely remember

There was one program that used to be on YTV on a Sunday afternoon before The Golden Shot. Kids series but really scary. Some evil looking bloke who looke da bit like Hitler and wore a mac came into a village and shat everyone up, looked like it was set on the Northfolk Broads. It was titles something like the Invader I think (not to be confused with the Invaders scifi series).

Just cannot remember its exact title. Not can it be found googling it.

It was half sitcom, half stand up.  A bit like "Sean's Show".   It was the first comedy I can remember in that format.

Eating tofu and hating it.

Sunday tea time wasn't it? Didn't the Gary Shandling show have a similar format?

Suppose.  It was about ten years after the KM show though.

I loved it at the time but I bought a DVD on eBay a few years ago and it has aged pretty badly.

More recently "Dream On" Well early nineties anyway.

Never realised until a couple of week ago but John Landis (Animal House, Blues Brothers etc) directed half a dozen early episodes. Mate of mine just got me a signed pic, he just mixed the sound track for Burke and Hare, and that came out as he was presenting the frame photo. Managed  to cover the fact that was news to me, as we were flat sharing when that aired in the UK. roll

Thriller - Saturday nights mid 70's fucking scared the shit out of me.

Cop Rock -  a late 80s early 90s musical spoof of Hill Street Blues. It was so absurd that I'm not surprised it didn't make it to a second series.

The Sandbaggers. Yorkshire TV - one of the best spy series ever made.

If you are reading this and you had anything to do with "Spooks" kill yourself now before I find you and torture you to death.  It's a a fucking travesty that we can reminiss about the likes of The Sandbaggers or Edge of Darkness etc and these days cunts from Kensington serve up Spooks or that wank with Ross Kemp in he SAS. If Ross Kemp went to Hereford they'd, killed the cunt and fit an outboard motor to his arse!
