Topic: Talking Pictures

On a rare foray into the medium of televisual entertainment --ie I rarely watch the fucker, stumbled across this gem of a channel. Talking Pictures on Freeview channel 81. Loads of old British B movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s, American series, comedies, all the sort of stuff that used to be on in summer holidays or afternoons off school. Comedy day today, Sid James, Terry Thomas, Peter Sellers, all sorts. They have a website with the schedule on, check it out. Right up my strasse.

Re: Talking Pictures

Had Whistle Down The Wind on a couple of weeks ago. Watched it last night, remember seeing it as a kid. Lovely, atmospheric, poignant film. That bit at the end when Alan Bates is getting searched and standing with his arms out like he's being crucified is genius.

That Hell Drivers on Tuesday sounds good.  Is David McCallum immortal?  He has been making films for 60 years.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

'Man at the Top' she got her kit off

Although,  allegedly,  she used a body double - squeaky clean as always

She was indeed, fit as..

Re: Talking Pictures

Think she once did a commercial for washing up liquid.

Which was quite enough for me at the age I then was.  And, I must add, is more than enough for me at the age I am now.
