Topic: Jeans

Haven't bought any in ages. Went in both the Levi store and Daves, Jesus, Levi's are shit quality these days aren't they? Tried on some 501s, one leg appeared significantly narrower than the other. I like dark jeans and I don't like fancy washes or finishes, prefer a button fly. Any ideas?

I find Levis difficult to get the right cut for me personally

Unbranded Brand - https://brooklyndenimco.com/collections … z-selvedge

Cheapest 14oz selvedge going.

Got two pairs. Bloody brilliant they are.

Re: Jeans

I've got stacks of pairs from Gap. Only problem is they look like you've slept rough in them after a few days. And not in a good way. Last Levi's I bought were okay. Have some decent Carhartt ones but they're years old.

Re: Jeans

Edwin ED-55s are nice jeans.

I get on OK with 501s, just annoys me how much you get charged for them in this country compared with the US.

Re: Jeans

levi 511's best ever fit in a jean for me, dark indigo, got a few pairs.

Gap also really good, they're my teatime and work jeans.

I actually bought a pair of hollister a few years back. fantastic fit, they were cheap and they still look good for work even though i've probably had them five years or so. held the colour better than any i've ever had

Re: Jeans

Levis just seem inferior quality to how they used to be. My kids would laugh me out of the house if I came home with anything from Hollister. Those Edwin ones look decent 'til you see the pockets halfway down the back of the leg.

Last really decent ones I had were probably Diesel but they no longer do decent plain dark jeans. Everything's got to have some kid of fucking wash or frayed pockets.

This is not looking good.

Re: Jeans

my hollister are standard jeans, button fly, no big pockets, slim fit, no branding, dark.

sshh, no one knows they are hollister

I'm dead happy with Levi's. Mate brings me them over from US, half price.

Indeed. But I'm not the fashion pharaoh I once was.

Re: Jeans

It's not about fashion though is it? If it were I'd buy a pair of them $200  ' hand distressed efforts and look like some Eastern European who forgot to go to the gym.

I have worn Hilfiger jeans for the last few years, after 20+ years of levi's, I like them and may be due for some more in the next year or two.

Never seen Kuhl jeans. It's a popular and often heavily discounted brand at our local REI.

Howies is new on me. Don't look bad to be honest.

Maybe at the prices you get it at.

Re: Jeans

Best jeans I have at the moment are some GANT 'Stick Boy' ones - works well for me and my hipless body

I previously had some normal* G-Star Raw ones which lasted ages,  fitted really well,  and washed well too

* no tears,  frays,  bleaching,  saggy arse,  pockets behind the knee,  engineering,  silly writing etc etc etc

TT, genuinely don't have 140 quid to spend on a pair of jeans.

GANT have some decent looking jeans on sale but I'd have to hit the gym for a few months to get into them.
