Topic: Greedy bastard's replacement

Hearing noises about Gestede and Jordan Rhodes. Think Gestede might be available and still have enough to replace Bridcutt....

Re: Greedy bastard's replacement

Probably be someone off our radar. Apparently they had a list for this eventually, so could be a quick one .

To stand aside is to take sides.

Re: Greedy bastard's replacement

Must have someone lined up if they took the money and were as graceful as they were about it.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

It'd be a fuck you if we didn't replace him and went up.

Call me up in dreamland. Radio to me man.

I don't get all the bile? Surely you've sussed out how things work by now.

Footballer from other side of world doesn't feel for the club like life long supporters who a year ago thought he was shit.

Me too, good luck to him, taking his chance while its still there, who the fuck wouldn't? He's just a company employee at the end of the day.

Gestade seems to be a target , I hope he is not our main one . Rather he'd be a partner or back up to a Rohdes or an unknown gem from abroad.

You're both right, of course, and I should have called it 'Honourable Gentleman's replacement', but that seemed inappropriate under the circumstances.

Good luck to him, it is the nature of modern football that people move on at the drop of a hat, it was just the manner and the timing. Even saying, 'I'll play as a farewell gesture' against Sunderland might have been a nice touch, but no. Maybe he saw a mobile, attacking midfield as a threat to his style of play rather than a boost? Maybe he realised TC had a new vision for how Leeds could play and knew that he couldn't fit in? Either way, he's gone on to 'better' thngs like Becchio, Byram and Cook, so good luck with that.....

Re: Greedy bastard's replacement

How about having a system where fans can request a transfer if supporting their team doesn't work out.

People are Twats

Exactly ... 15M - yes 15 million pound notes for that donkey who, fair play to him, had a great season last year.

Take off hosers ...

Christ, 6ft 4in and 'can also play as a winger' thats one big winger. The name is a beauty too.

Just saw this on Twitter, very good!

Transfermaarkt values:

Grot - £675k
Gestede - £6.3m

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Re: Greedy bastard's replacement

Expect good things from Grot, he's very well respected as a Dutch youth and NEC threw him straight in last year. There's none of that, "he's still got some growing to do," at 6'4" and built like a brick shit-house, he's already a big bully with great dribbling skills and an eye for goal. Get him watching films of John Charles.

Could take some time to bed in, Hulk who looks like a similar player to Grot was average at Tokyo Verdy at Grot's age and slightly older, only when he hit 22 did it start to click for him.

Theres some Bulgarian lad in U23's we've signed from Barcelona. Kun Temenzukhov. Might be one for next season

14 goals 6 games.  Not bad going.  2 hat tricks and a double.

Sounds promising.  Hope we get him then, 19's a bit young though.

I've heard Gestede is quite a talented lad but seems to have been in shit teams.

As long as we don't spunk money on Rhodes or McCormack I'd be happy with either of the above.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.
