Copy and meat paste. In fact let's open this up. Does anyone still buy spreads and pastes?

Does potted beef count?
If so....yes!

Or potted dog as it's referred to in some quarters!

Re: Pâté

Do they still do those tiny glass jars? Shippams pastes. Horrid and awesome in equal measures.

I love a good pate. With a bit of truffle oil and / or foie gras.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Re: Pâté

Smooth pâté, don't like the rough gear, on thin granary toast with a small amount of chutney and a pale ale of some description.

Potted beef, forgot about that.

Re: Pâté

Used to buy potted beef from Leeds market every payday.  Can't get it down these parts.

As for pate, it's got to be coarse.  The smooth stuff is just wrong.

Re: Pâté

In France once I picked something meaty off the menu. Turned out to be slices of brawn in jelly. Absolutely rank.

Watched my mate eat ball once in France.

Bull ball.

Chewy he said. Rather chewy.

Love all of it, but love a bit of picalillililli. Just run out, so will have to what until another shipment arrives at Christmas.

Their 8 year old blended scotch is a good buy at £12 a bottle.  I was on the Johnny Walker Black Label at £28 until I found it.

Re: Pâté

I would like to find the person who invented "sweet" piccalilli and give them a stern talking to.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Garners pickles are nice.  Haywoods are nice and sharp too.

Fucking starving now.

Re: Pâté

Misses treated me to a birthday meal tonight. Pate was on the starters , but I went for goats cheese with sun dried tomatoes and olives. Thought it complemented my lamb with red currant gravy better.
She had pate though .
