I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Camping in Gascony. Booked it a while back.

She’s the main man in the office in the city and she treats me like I’m just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face and pretend that I am Kendo Nagasaki...

The whole of August booked in the algarve 4 weeks , back up in the hills looking down on to the ria formosa can't wait

No roads , quality fresh fish , unspoilt beaches that stretch for miles and miles , little villages/harbours tucked away from the mainland , and all of it only accessible by boat .

Ace.
Love to be able to get 4 consecutive weeks off work and do similar.

Two of the wife's sisters are moving out there permanent next October.

We're winding down work wise over the next 2 or 3 years and the plan is to take 6 week spells or more once we've called it a draw.

Dunno, open to suggestions. Usually like places we can walk to restaurants but not in a city. Will have car so will get about.

Probably fly into Catannia.

Taormina's a great place and Castlemola is a must see. Almost defies gravity. And Etna, do Etna.

My summer holiday will be in my touring caravan. This year I think we’re going to Robin Hoods bay , Whitby.
Going to Malta for New Years .

To stand aside is to take sides.

Tenerife in December then New York for 3 days and a cruise up the east coast up to Halifax Nova Scotia in May so far.

Re: Summer Holiday 2018

I'm guessing and it's early days yet that it'll be Croatia although Mrs MAC was looking at Cyprus yesterday

What am I missing Crete people I only hear good things and yet Greece seems never to get a mention in this household?

Re: Summer Holiday 2018

Greece is superb.

I loved Santorimi but stayed well away from Oia.

Paros was equally as good without the hordes. In fact it was much better.

Re: Summer Holiday 2018

Paros harbour is a lot of fun. Little side streets, tiny restaurants, bars with DJ’s if you want it.

Yeah Paros. Check it out.

Will do. However since we got stuck on Malta following the volcano in neighbouring Iceland, islands are a non starter!

It's an interesting logic.

Re: Summer Holiday 2018

I am thinking of getting a train to Paris then a TVR to Marseille and trying to find some where to stay in Arles.

I doubt it will happen but you never know.

Aim Low and miss...
