I'm having a look at Dash, mate has been on it pretty hard from a few years back and they're cheaper than BCs, I'm on a site which is like the OMJ for cryptos but I'm not into buying yet, just learning, lots of bullshit merchants and sites out there. You need a wallet, don't store them with a 3rd party seems to be the main advice I've read so far.

Thats some chart...

Yeah, I am waiting for the next one, was $190 in May when he suggested getting in but it all bamboozled me a bit, nearly $800. If you went in large on that, that's a nice 6 months bit of business, if a bit hairy at times.

Same mate is saying get the fuck out, especially with Bit Coins, apparently loads of hedge funds are betting against it, so a sure fire sign it's fucked.

Can't complain...mine went up to over 8k (euros) over Christmas so cashed 5k in.
All that on the back of an original 500.00 quid investment.
Still got over 3k sat there so will sit tight for now and see what happens.

Re: Bitcoin

Nice bit of business that.

I'm in with NEM and Stellar for a small amount and both are listed at about USD 0.50 a pop so not going to hurt too much.

Both have useable blockchain tech, i.e. chances are they'll get used for shifting money around eventually, and both are a tip from a mate who was a senior advisor at the Fed for a bit.

Maybe we should put this thread under the gambling forum? big_smile

Could you DM a link as to where one may buy these?  It's maybe worth putting what I'd lose on footy betting for a month into them.

I registered with these.
It's a Dutch broker but a mate put me on to them as once you're registered (which takes a while and no small amount of ID verification) they're fairly easy to buy and sell with.

I use https://zaif.jp/ which is a Japanese site, you can register from overseas but; a) I wouldn't wish a counter intuitive Japanese application form process on anyone, and, b) it take 2 months to register if overseas.

Plus points being, some coins are only available in Japan and the market is formally licensed and monitored over here, so rip offs are less likely, although there has been hacks.

Probably better off with OW's tip..

Don't think they trade in Stellar mate.
They can be a bit limited but I can't grumble in terms of what I've bought and sold.
I got tipped off a while back about Digibyte as some of the online gaming companies are looking to accept them as a form of currency.
Could be bullshit but I've had a dabble anyway.

Done alright (3k) with Verge too,

Sepa bank transfer in the drop down box.
You buy Litebit credits and then use them to purchase crypto as required.
When you sell they pay in credits which you then withdraw back into your bank.

You need to register first and they'll request you to transfer 1 euro into their bank to verify your bank details and that you are who you say you are!

Took me a fortnight to get verified, pain in the arse but glad I did.

Martyn Lewis is suing Facebook for similar scams.  They happily let people advertise using his name fraudulently and he gets calls from people wanting refunds from scammed money.

Guys and Dolls.  Here is a bit of basic internet safety that you all should know...

If the URL doesn't begin with https: then it is not a secured, verified website and you should seriously think twice about giving it any financial/personal details.  A real company gets itself certified online.
