Topic: Dunkirk

Great film. Music was the star for me.

Very tense and real looking.

Right up there with Longest Day.

Bet it looked good on that. Cant explain it, it wasn't bright but dully lit that made it look more real for me. The spitfire along the beach looked ace.

I'm off to Beaties to get some airfix models: Spitfire, Meschersmit 109E, Heinkle and a Junkers.

Is this just the manly Bro love, or the real profound love that can swim oceans and climb mountains?

Re: Dunkirk

Tried to watch it twice now, can't get beyond 20 mins or so.  I get there in the end.  Turned it off again just now and am watching John Wayne in Big Jake.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Re: Dunkirk

I've watched it three times.  it's bloody ace.

Proper catches you at the end and you get a bit of grit in the eye.

I love Tom hardy - there - I have said it.  I think he is fuckimng tremendous.

Alfie Solomons, spitfire Pilot, Taboo, sky mobile ad - the fucking lot so fish cupboard teeth.

Aim Low and miss...

Re: Dunkirk

It's a visual feast and watchable, but I didn't get any emotional attachment watching it either. It kinda reminds me of Titanic, minimal plot but looks good. I may have to watch it again.
