Re: Decent lambswool jumpers?

I was going to suggest a Saint James Binic II.

Fucking lovely things - all French and that, with buttons and stuff and not to dissimilar to wearing a duvet.  I can imagine Captain Ahab had one on when he went to sea.

I have one and it is the shit.

However a quick flick around

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breton-Sailo … 0688877380

I am sorry but this is not worth £135 of anyones money.

Is it me or is stuff just stupid expensive at the moment or have I become very old or is it my public sector wages?

Answers on a postcard please.

Every men's clothes shop I passed in Normandy last month seemed to assume that al men like to dress like gay yachtsmen.  Maybe they do.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

And what is so very wrong with dressing like a gay yachtsman?

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it.

Some of my favourite yachtsmen are gay, probably, going by the way they dress.

Ha! Put the new jumper in the allotted drawer and discovered I already have 3 other cashmere jumpers, fortunately all in different colours/neck type. Better get wearing the fuckers.

Re: Decent lambswool jumpers?

Harley of Scotland, just got one for my birthday, up there with the Brooks Brothers Shetlands from a few a year back.

The are also a saddle shoulder cut (two seams across each collarbone) so fit really nice and keep their shape.

Look out for them in the sales, I'm seeing them for about $80 in Japan.

There's and XL on eBay for about 30 docs at the moment.
