Topic: Blunts (A)

Tough gig this one.
Well organised outfit and I suspect in for the long haul this time round.
Draw wouldn't be a disaster.

Either way we're overdue a result against this lot aren't we?

Watching this at a mate’s house on live Sky feed. I haven’t yet seen us win watching at his place, so it doesn’t bode well for a result. I would be very happy with a draw.

Re: Blunts (A)

The last complete performance was against Norwich. Since then we've stuttered to dominate a team both in defence and attack. I'm not confident that today is going to be any different.

The key is not conceding (stating the obvious) under the early pressure that a home team is going to give you at the start of each half. We need to score first and in the later stages of the first half.

Alioski will never win a penalty because he never beat his man. No Clarke in U23's last night. Not sure he'll start.

Re: Blunts (A)

Took the piss last season, dominated both games. 1-2 flattered us home + away. We're a more resolute bunch this season, but we'll have to step up on recent peformances to get anything here.
Key I think is to stop Duffy from getting a grip in midfield. I'll take a point.

Got more soul, than a sock with a hole.

All blokes looked like that fella on the right in the 80s.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

A point would be great. A win  is out of the question, I'm afraid.  Expecting a 2 - 1 defeat with that cunt Sharp scoring the winner.

As hard as he’s trying, I don’t think this ref can keep 11 blunts on the pitch for 90 minuets.
Saiz impact 2nd half . Think we’ll win this .

Hard fought and deserved win. I don't mind if the opposition give us goals, either....

Re: Blunts (A)

Right win that.
Deserved too, they could easily have been down to 9 if the ref was doing his job right.
Some prospect is Clarke.

Philips was class today.

Happy days

It was due in large part because of the pressure we put the goalie under, to do that at such a late stage in the game shows how fit the team is.

Indeed. The sort of  goal we wouldn't have got last season, or previous ones.

First win at Bramall Lane since 1992? Really? Blimey.
