I haven't felt this good for an hour

Excellent choice, KS - a great undiscovered band. They know how to leave lots of space in their music, uncluttered and as you say super-calm.

Loved the live dvd of their 'Trinity Sessions' with Ryan Adams et al.

Some great shouts here. If you get chance to catch Lloyd Cole doing his solo acoustic stuff do so its brilliant. Plays a lot from Rattlesnakes and the stripped back  songs are even more poignant. If you aren’t inconspicuously wiping away a tear you are trying too hard not to look gay.

Spent three years putting my vinyl on Mini Disc before I Pod came out. Am I putting it all on I Pod?. Am I fuck. Often get back to old albums and re discovering their brilliance. Had The Triffids Born Sandy Devotional last night. Awesome

I saw Lloyd Cole do this in Bristol about 5years ago, fuckin brilliant acoustic. I was sat next to this couple & this blokes bird just started crying her eyes out, when lloyd was singing some song about lost loves. Anyway he just starts glaring at her I started laughing & the evils I got then from both of them big_smile

Anyways back on track I am converting all my vinyl at present & rediscovered the Cures Three imaginary boys & also Joe Jackson who I loved as a kid. Is she really going out with him, a quality song.

Was just listening to Janes Addiction's "Nothings  Shocking" Whilst in the  bath (not  in the shower whilst pissing on myself)

It still sounds so good. Had a Dad,  Jane Says, Ocean  Size.

Have now put Ritual DeHabitual on.

I don't listen to alot of the music I was into back then. Can't be doing with Nirvana no more but these still sound outstanding.

Catatonia's Equally Cursed and Blessed. Not a bad song on it but I've left it gathering dust on the cd rack for years. A bitter/sweet mix as the roller coaster was begining to plunge the band downwards..

Formica is a nice bit of wood

James Taylor Quartet - The Money Spyder

Haven't listened to this for at least 5 years but is on the CD player right now. A cracking album.

Re: Great Albums You've 'Rediscovered'

Downloaded 'Better Later Than Never' by The Slackers this weekend. Haven't listened to it in years, used to have a cassette of it somewhere but must've lost it along the way.

I was sat outside with a bottle of beer and this playing on the stereo; absolutely perfect ska/jazz style music for a sunny day.

If we get another decent spurt of sunshine this year then I recommend you download/buy/steal this album, pour yourself a beer/glass of wine/line of pcp and enjoy.

I've been listening to 'Boy' a lot in the car lately. Back when it didn't matter that Bono thought he knew more than anyone else. Reminds me of seeing them at the Uni Refectory, Tiffany's and not getting into the Warehouse because it was too late.

If you're into High Land Hard Rain, Zilch, Rattlesnakes, Steve McQueen you'll most probably like it a lot. I'll burn you a copy if you send me your address.
