On the sleeve notes XTC thank the Dukes for "lending us their guitars".  roll

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

That is a good LP of the Chameleons but a terrible cover.

Re: Great Albums You've 'Rediscovered'

I bought Blur's Parklife cd for a quid or something the other day, used to have it on cassette.. Very good.

Formica is a nice bit of wood

Strip-Mine by James. Just listened to it for the first time in 18 years or so. Forgot how odd Tim Booth's voice is. Really enjoyed it though and it brought back lots of memories of 1988, which was a very good year for me

The Jam - All Mod Cons, found in a drawer, played in the car, quality. Forgotten how good To Be Someone is. A Bomb, Tubestation, Billy Hunt...

She’s the main man in the office in the city and she treats me like I’m just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face and pretend that I am Kendo Nagasaki...

Most CDs still in boxes after moving, which means you come across stuff you've not heard in ages, like this groovy little mother...

The version of 'The Look of Love' is absolutely blinding.

Ritual de lo Habitual - Janes Addiction

This is an album that rocks huge chunks dudes. Some outstanding guitar and vocals and a song that would fit in to the thread on great tracks for jukebox value - the epic "Three Days" which clocks in at 10 mins 48 seconds.

Ace cover too.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French p*rn.
