To lose our best player for a generation....![]()
Is that our Quals for Euro fucked from the start?
Stoke managed by a Welshman (well Newport) too...

He's lucky he wasn't playing against Wrexham. He'd have got booed off too!
Former Wrexham player Tom Kearney got his leg broken by Frank Sinclair in our draw with Altrincham last night and he was booed off as the stretcher carried him off. A few minutes an ambulance left the ground. Broken tib and fib.
By contrast, Sinclair was given a standing ovation as he left the field following his red card.

Sad to hear that about Tom.
He joined us from Everton and in his first season looked a right player. Got injured and wasn't the same and was released.
As mentioned elsewhere on here, his sister is Gillian, or Debbie from Damon and Debbie. Used to see her at VP.

Cunts' trick booing a player seriously injured FFS.

It was a weird situation and the ref had a shocking match.
Sinclair and Kearney both went for a 50-50 and Frank got there first. His leg was straight but he didn't go over the ball or anything. The referee had got his yellow card out of his pocket and then saw Kearney had broken his leg and changed to a red.
Later in the game, one of the Altrincham players told Holden he was going to do him, right in front of the linesman. He then dived in two-footed about waist high. Holden took evasive action and the lad only got a yellow. Similarly, Mike Williams was helped over the advertising hoardings down onto the concrete by their striker, yellow card. Neil Taylor pulled someone's shirt on the half way line. Yellow card.
I'd like think the Wrexham fans were booing Kearney because they thought he was faking. It was a bloody elaborate hoax if he was. That said, there are some incredible arseholes that watch Wrexham. The abuse directed to our own players and managers over the last few years has been unbelievable.
Someone, a couple of games ago, threatened to stab Crawley manager Steve Evans in the head. That one I agree with.

One of my most dispiriting football games was Wrexham v Torquay, 1993 or thereabouts.. Justin Fashanu playing for the first time since revealing he was gay... Black and gay, bigot heaven.
We won 4-2.

I was there the other week....it's astonishingly quiet at Premiership grounds these days..
Proper 'hear the players' shite....it's very disconcerting...

The Wrexham players would love to play in total silence. They call the Racecourse "the boo factory".
The difference in atmosphere when the Crusaders play versus when Wrexham play is unbelievable. Mind you, I wouldn't fancy telling one of those rugby league boys to "fuck off and die" as someone did to Wes Baynes a few weeks ago after he mishit a corner.

My wife is a nurse and she saw Gillian Kearney visiting Tom in hospital on Wednesday. She got some funny looks as she is on Casualty at the moment.
