Re: Sideways

So did I.  An interesting portrait of a functioning depressive alcoholic.  The bit where he stole from his mother was indicative of how low he was and the way he pushed Mya away was telling.

Re: Sideways

You're all wrong. I'm right i managed 10 minutes of it turned it off after they nashed from hisums in the morning.

Gore - not like you to drop a contrary opinion. wink

ok fellas. Ive clearly not given it chance, explain to me what the sketch is. The wife was moaning about it from the first scene, her neg bibes permeated my inner cultral radar. Or, is it just a pretty shit film?

How can you not like a film where one of the leads was in 'George of the Jungle'?

Or it having central themes of drinking wine, mid-life crises, lying and fucking?

I loved it...but dont watch it with your Woman if she didn't like the first 10...give her Dirty Dancing or Pretty Woman to watch and then crack on yourself....

This is a cracking film. it makes me want to drink more wine.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French p*rn.

Re: Sideways

Gonna try again. I'm always up for educating myself. But if it's still shit you're all still wrong. Just watching death on the mountain about Tom Simpson  cyclist who died on the tour 1967.

Re: Sideways

Taped it (well the 21st century version of taping, Sky+ing it).  Going to watch it again on tonight.  Watched Brubaker last night.  Good prison film.

Re: Sideways

I've really tried with this Sideways film. It's just dull I'm not interested in what happens with these james blunts.

It's still discharge.

It was.

Mad how the tour riders have all been taking drugs for years and everyone knows about it. They might as well just let them take the same drugs and let them get on with it.

Shame about him though. Sounded like a bit of a character. I rode home from work today imagining what it was like for those fuckers. Then I remembered I was a fat get with a high viz vest on huffing and puffing down Kirkstall Road.

I love bbc 4. yer can shove yer sideways up yer trumper lengthwise.

I fell asleep during it. But that was mainly because I was sluggish with red wine.

watching it now.  The scene where he steals his mum's money almost ruins the film.  After this how can we root for him?
