Re: Alex Bruce - signed

Only noticed him once and only cos he's Bruce the moose's son - quite physical think he ended up getting subbed before he got sent off - he's one of us now so yeah he's fucking awesome despite his parentage.

Re: Alex Bruce - signed

I think he's bought him to hold the midfield and I think it's a great signing.  We needed someone adept at monstering the opposition and letting our little fannies Kilkenny and Howson concentrate on lifting the ball into nowhere.  Bruce is that man.  Very good signing for us.

If you're right Reggie (and his Wiki page says he can play central midfield) then he could be a great signing. Defo a clogger.

I'm brightening up.

We might just both be full of the joys of a Saturday morning Gore.  I generally alternate bouts of baseless optimism with deep despair like most Leeds fans but I think this lad Bruce has the balls for this job and I can't say that about many of the players we have particularly in midfield.

Exactly what we need. Too many bedwetters in the side for this league.

George Boateng was available from Hull, thought he's have been a great signing. Naylor, Kinsboro when he gets back, Paynter who should be able to put himself about (well at least to the front of the pie queue), perhaps Connolly  and now Bruce means we have a few bruisers in the team.

Sadly, I think Naylor's past his sell by. He was terrible the times he played towards the end of last season and who knows what Kis-thingy will be like. I am just pleased we have a battling spine, if Bruce plays in midfield, and hes been alright at this level - although if he's good why are Ipswich selling him for so little?

Re: Alex Bruce - signed

Ipswich are begging teams to take players off them. Stead on 12k a week was going to blackpool for 250k - but blackpool won't match his wages. They have about 6 to 8 players they want to get off their books so Keane can bring in new players.

Keane is fucking useless so I wouldn't read anything into that.

Re: Alex Bruce - signed

Naylor went off injured in the second half today but had played very well, just thought I'd let you know.  Was only a friendly of course but still, he was good and Collins not too bad alongside.

Yet strangely they were reported to be after Chopra for 4m.  Desperate pr stunt for season ticket sales perhaps?
