Topic: Clash's First Album

37 years ago today. How old do you all feel now......?

Re: Clash's First Album

Too young to appreciate that, probably just bought that ELO album with the spaceship on it, great album as it happens but yeah, The Clash  one of the greatest albums of all time. Don't think I really got into them properly until London Calling. Late for everything me.

I didn't buy it until at least 1980. I had it with a blue cover, US version? Or Canadian rings a bell for some reason?

Fabulous album, didn't buy it until it came out in one of them bargain bucket offers from HMV. Can't stand Strummer or the rest of the stadium raaaaaaak hypocrites. For the kids natch.

Didn't really like it. Still prefer London Calling, but there you go. It's okay, but nothing more - and I like Punk Rock!

Re: Clash's First Album

Don't get me wrong, not saying it was a classic, just a landmark. And a long, long time ago. Anyway, I preferred The Damned.
