Topic: Greetings

Been lurking for a while, finally decided to dip my toe in the murky world of internet male bonding. I say male, its the internet so can't be too sure.

Ex watcher of live sport at Headingley and Elland Road, prefer a streaming website and Grand Designs in the background these days.

Now old enough to know better, but still not always able to prevent it.....

wi Madisons Upstairs.  Triples for a pound in late 80's.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Re: Greetings

Aye, dodgy 80's bar. It was either that or Mr Craig's, which I was never a fan of. Al Capones pizza shop over the road was worth a visit though.

Yeah, in the summer you could jump up to the balcony from outside.

Bend Sinister or The Frenz Experiment?

"Yes" or "ya can stick yer independence up yer arse?"

Best score on University Challenge?

Velma or Daphne?

"We are The Fall"

Re: Greetings

I know you aren't asking me but Bend Sinister is the LP that made me stop listening to The Fall all them years ago. I bought it but didn't buy another one for a good few years.

South or North Stand? Or did you change ends?
Skyrack or Oak?

She’s the main man in the office in the city and she treats me like I’m just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face and pretend that I am Kendo Nagasaki...

Its been emotional.

Fave prog rock album?

Never sure on what classes as Prog Rock, quite liked a bit of Deep Purple and Jethro Tull, but never enough to warrant me to spend my hard earned pocket money on an album.

Betting tip?

Don't gamble more than you can afford to lose.

Where's Fulmine please? And Cutsyke?

I've just been lurking rather than stalking and abduction, so can't help on this one.

Carry on.

Not a fan of the Fall, so neither.

3, I preferred it with Bamber Gascoigne.

Velma or Daphne?

Daphne, although reality and experience tells me I would have ended up with Velma, especially after a couple of Mad Dog 20/20's.

Started in the North Stand, then changed ends, and finally as I grew ended up in the South Stand. Maybe a separate post of South Stand memories...

Preferred the Oak as a lad, then after the Skyrack refurb, that was a better option. In latter years the Arc was a good bet for a middle aged man to letch.

Jeans, my feet are too wide (read fat) for Sambas.
