Topic: Jen Brister

OK.  Lesbian comedian talks a lot about being a lesbian and having children.   And yes, being one of only three men in the audience, at times I was uncomfortable about her opinions on men in general.  But overall her material is very funny and at times my face hurt from laughing, and the room full of comfortably clothed women thought likewise.

Jen attacked the subject of parenthood in a way any of us can relate to and relentlessly bombarded the audience with top quality humour for as long as my aging bladder could endure.  Well worth the entrance fee and couldn't think of a better thing to do in the West Midlands on a Thursday night.

To steal a line from Tom Robinson, "You don't have to be gay to sing along, but it helps."

I'll give her 7 out of 10.
