Topic: Glee Club Birmingham

First visit for about 15 years or so last night.

Reminded myself why I stopped going to comedy clubs like the Glee Club and the Comedy Store etc.  Battery chicken seating, over priced food and drinks and the generally impersonal feeling of the places designed to rip as much money out of your wallet as quickly as possible.  Much prefer comedy gigs in pub back rooms and local theatres and in future I'll stick to what I like.

Got to see that Junior Simpson is still doing the rounds and is still worth a few belly laughs.  That was about it.

Re: Glee Club Birmingham

I got thrown out of there 15 years or so ago.  Never been back since.

There is a pub near me (Cradley Heath) that does Comedy nights - I am yet to go.

"Our beer is flowing and our samosas are 80p"

I fucking love this city.  I might just go for the samosas.
