Pitch like a quagmire, small ground, fired up home support, most of the first 11 not playing,on tv.......what could possibly go wrong?

Re: Newport away - FA Cup

Probably play the league cup side . Which was good enough to beat Burnley. As you say the results we’ve had in these type of games, they should be favourites.

To stand aside is to take sides.

Is it still the old ground, used to have a speed way track around it? I have only played on 2 league grounds , Wrexham and there. Missed a penalty there , in a shootout against Cardiff school boys 1974. Before anyone says, they were both league grounds back then.

I believe they have moved and now share with the Rugby club. As I recall they once made the quarter finals of the European Cup Winners Cup!

Newport are 3/1 to qualify.  Looks like a fair amount of money is following our FA cup curse.

Re: Newport away - FA Cup

I think we're only interested in winning the Fa cup in 2022 And 2072

I'm gonna put a treble on. The above bet with the added bet being that I'll collect the winnings in person. I'll be 104

There is a great clip on Twitter tonight ( that is beyond my capabilities to post) of post match interviews. You see how much winning the cup meant to Revie and players.
If you search on Twitter, WALMOT33, it’s amogst stuff he’s put up . Maybe one of the more capable can put it up and show the fucking team tomorrow before they go out .

Re: Newport away - FA Cup

We used to have David harveys signed sock tags from the 72 final and my brother binned then including loads of other memorabilia and family stuff at the height of his mental illness.. fuckin kills me that.

Of the Leeds and arsenal teams apart from Johnny Giles were all English and Scottish. The fa cup was huge but I can't see how it means that much to a lot of foreign players in the top teams? Still important to fans and clubs and a lot of players but nowhere near as much as it used to be

Re: Newport away - FA Cup

That,s the answer.....sock tags!

Someone start a campaign!

Come to think of it,where is he these days?

Plus I'll be projecting this on to the wall of my snug with a large bottle of Japanese craft cider in hand..

Could be 0-0

Mix of youth and experience please Tommy lad, give the lads who need a run a run, Dallas, Klich, but put a bastard in midfield please, if we've got one...
