Re: What are you wearing today?

I had quite a nice heavy grey tweed three piece on today from Skopes.  Black Remus raincoat, blue Stephens Bros shirt and black Barker brogues.

Also had a good day at work so felt doubly good.  Not had a drink for a week too as it's not been my friend of late so I feel like a new Reggie.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

It's been done.  Maybe it's time for a relaunch of Exotics Ices by Sunshine Deserts or my own range of Ravioli.

nah, a couple of throwbacks to when I lived in Hong Kong and could get 25% discount from both shops for speaking a bit of Japanese and DJ-ing a bit around town, cords were in the sale, $100 or thereabouts.

Visvim's lovely stuff, but no way I can afford that stuff now. Although if I can find a decent Lhamo or Sanjuro shirt in an XL I'll buy it second hand, but even then they keep their price, so might have to make do with a Lhamo copy I got off eBay smile

Trying to steer away from the Arpenteur stuff, as it's made in France, so not cheap over here, I prefer my French workwear to be made in Japan, a lot cheaper for me, so still rocking the Danton stuff.

Away from that I've been filling up t-shirts and sweats from Chums, a Utah outdoor label, which looks to be being pushed like hell over here, with most stuff being made here. http://www.chums.jp/en/aboutchums/

Lot of 90's going on there - which is de rigeur at present.  I was in That London the other week and all the vintage shops were 90's vintage shops.  I felt very very old.

Have you ever had any Mosqueton?  French stuff, looks OK but maybe a bit mass produced.

Black M&S brogues, charcoal grey M&S 3-piece, light-blue/white striped TW Lewin tunic shirt, Windsor collar, bands, Ede & Ravenscroft gown, Ede & Ravenscroft wig. Very 90s. 1790s.....

She’s the main man in the office in the city and she treats me like I’m just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face and pretend that I am Kendo Nagasaki...

I made sure it wasn't "slim" fit and had to mix and match the sizes to not look a fookin eejit but I like it.  I never quite got on with the blue suit and brown brogues lark of recent years, broke too many sartorial rules for me (having worked in the strict uniform environment in the City).  When I first moved back to Leeds in 2000, the dress code in the financial area was very poor, cheap dark suits with no effort it seemed.  Many just wore shit shirt, shoes, tie and anoraks.

It's been much more dandyish of late.  The contrasting slim trousers, sports jacket, pocket square things is very smart and I hope it makes the suit game up it's efforts.   I'm falling out with double cuffs though, slowly replacing my stock of shirts and may even do a full TM Lewin non iron offer after half term to put 4 new ones in the rotation.

I also bought a full 3 piece brown tweed number but it's a bit snug and I also wonder id I look like a 1930's con man, Gypsy at the St Ledger or circus caller.   I've never had the balls to wear it.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

I'm a long long way from you hip cats. Just did big Tescos with the kids in Timbles boating shoes, 501s, Henry Lloyd checked shirt under an M&S navy lambswool crew neck. Swanning up and down the real ale isle oozing middle aged dad nonchalance.

Had a Patagonia isthmus parka on for the school run as its as cold as a witches tit. As boring as this get up sounds there were far far worse dads at the school gates. I'd never ever wear Superdry even if Ellie Harrison from Countryfile offered to lap dance for me in Fjall Raven hotpants.
