Nice visualisation that casts doubt on the idea that current levels of warming are just part of the natural ebb and flow of things.

I don't doubt that we are not causing severe damage, but wonder, for example if we had never found coal and oil etc, would the world still be heating up anyway?

You could look at the chart and hazard your own guess,

But even if it was, based on the evidence of the last 20,000 years any naturally occurring significant fluctuations in average temperature would happen over thousands of years.
