Only two more to go at home....

Will he beat his old club? They come out of relegation if they win.

Just seen the latest score (sitting in the garden, reading the paper. Much better use of my time). Does it look as though a win might be on the cards, or am I being ridiculous?

Decided to watch the last 10 minutes (it clouded over a bit) but we still look shite. What's with the inability to pass or hold up the ball? Is Ekuban getting worse? Mind you, this isn't Albania.  Looked like a pen to me, too.

Re: Barnsley (h)

Watched the match whilst at work, and yes we are still poor.  No confidence in the players, as well as a lack of interest.  You'd have to assume most of them know they are not going to be here next season (hopefully). Ekuban cannot get any worse, he's not a footballer.  He offers nothing, cannot score, take a player on, in fact basic ball control is beyond him.

From reading this thread I thought we'd lost the match.  Had to check the scores on the beeb.

It is possible to take this dour Northerner thing a bit too far.

Re: Barnsley (h)

Really they missed a sitter, had a penalty knocked backed, had one dissallowed for offside which must have been close and missed one of the easiest chances I have ever actually seen with my own eyes.

And yet with an own goal gifted to them, they still lost.

So in the words of the lad who sits next to me ‘Thankfully, they are shitter than us.’

Roofe had one of his better games in his old Oxford position and the new lads did very well with PF bollocking Saiz when forced into a great save. The Spanaird lost his shit like a spoilt child when he was subbed.

Prick.

Great goal from Pierce and O’Connor was very unlucky with the own goal. The cross should never have come in. It was poor defending from Pennington in a makeshift right back role.

Ekuban? Nah.

Tyler Durden better have fixed his broken foot AND be able to do a job. Because we have no one upfront who will get us 20 a year..

We have periods of 15 minutes when we can’t get out of own half.

We have periods of 90 minutes where all footballing sense leaves at least half our team in the oppositions half.

I actually think our control is on balance amazing. It’s the knee high bullet passing thats the problem. I’m amazed we keep the ball in play half the time.

Five metres away. The fuckers hit the ball like they’re shooting. Whats that? A weighted through ball? 20 metres shy. Pea rollers.

We had a poll at halftime for player of the year. Hernandez followed by Viera. We couldn’t think of another player. And he’s hardly had a great season.  Vieras had a injury for half of it.

That sums it up.

I do feel Heckingbottom is being sold short at the moment. They are going to have to stick to him. No other way around it. Radz will look fucking ridiculous if he gets rid.

I honestly think Saiz can go. We have never managed that type of attitude at Leeds. Philips, sorry, gone. Alioski, good work rate but so low on quality. Gone. Ekuban, ta ta. Lassoga thinks he’s going to West Ham. Danke. Roofe is a league too high. Gone.

We need Hernandez resigned. Jansson can play but needs a Bartley type next to him. I’m not sure thats a fit Cooper as much as I would love that to be the case. BCF can keep the Jersey for me in goal. Forshaw looks good and I assume we can revive De Bock’s career given we paid 4.5 million for him so there must be a player there. Viera in midfield i think is a given.

Ayling to return thankfully.

So what do we need? Another striker, central defender and a winger? Two wingers?

Re: Barnsley (h)

Saiz has been shite since he came back, petulant little boy. He can go.

Pearce - man of the match for me, great attitude, refreshing to watch.

Pennington just looked like what he was, a centre half out of position. He did ok but had no mobility or positional sense.

Peacock Farrell, player of the season, seriously. Has barely put a foot wrong, makes great saves, is confident, good distribution. Real prospect.

Re: Barnsley (h)

It may not be popular to say so but... Whilst this squad are clearly no set of World beaters I believe they where capable of better than they have delivered. They where certainly capable of delivering 12 more points than we currently have and that would have had us still vying for the last play off spot. That we do not and are not is to my mind squarely down to the management, whichever head coach plus the back room staff. Persisting with 4 2 3 1 when clearly we do not have a 1 up to us playing that way is the glaringly obvious error. Managers need to make the best use of the resources at their disposal, if they did not then they are not doing their job. Neither of our managers this season has earned their corn.

Blunders by our number 1 and 2 keepers must of cost 12 points. If we can flip saiz for 4 mill or more , I’d snatch their hand off.
When your struggling in bad runs as we have been. Go 442 , 2 solid banks of 4 knowing their jobs and doing it , simple.

To stand aside is to take sides.

A cracking save though!

I didn't notice Saiz'  pathetic effort to foul at the time.

I think all on here would have dropped Von Flap in October and he alone must be responsible for 12 points. With formations, well just use one that makes est use off your squad whichever it is.

Re: Barnsley (h)

I saw one of Heck's interviews and I think he said that he didn't want any real formation going forward, it is only when defending when formation matters. I am not sure if this is current football thinking or not, but that is what he seem to infer.
