That's not an encore, it's another gig.

Call me up in dreamland. Radio to me man.

I'm a big fan of no encore.

Travelled back from the States for this one.  Loved The Twilight Sad, Kathryn Joseph, Ride and Interpol but The Cure, up until the last 4 songs of the encore, I was a bit disappointed.  Nowt off Faith or Pornography.  Those last 4 certainly helped.  I liked the venue and sound was good where I was.

Madman but the best kind of madman.
I've only ever seen them once. They played Sydney when we were over there and we managed to get tickets at the last minute. Went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.
There's some kind of symmetry or something going on here, something, anyway. We were in Perth a few months before and Ride were playing. We set off from the hostel for the show. Almost made it. Honestly not sure just how close we got to the venue but I think Biz got involved in a game of killer in the last bar and we never got to see Ride.

Saw The Cure at Great Xpectations in Finsbury Park - had to google the year - 1993!!!

I'd just moved down to that there in '91 after 4 years in 'Boro doing my degree,  I was in full "get wrecked and see as many bands and drink as much booze as you can" mode

Was a brilliant day with support from Carter USM,  Sugar,  Belly,  Frank & Walters,  Senseless Things,  The Family Cat and others who I was probably too drunk to see

I like Finsbury Park as a gig venue,  nicely shelving and not so big as you can't see bugger all

You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is not an event - it is a habit.

The Family Cat - used to play their album a lot, Tell Em We're Surfin'. Steamroller's a great track.

I went to see the Cure at MEN the same night as we played Liverpool a couple of years ago. It was spoilt by Mrs MAC's friend informing me they had played 33 songs at a recent gig!

33 songs? Punk wasn't invented for that.

I quite enjoyed the gig but I found myself counting up  as time progressed.

Oh 3 left, staged encore, time to go!

Pornography was one hell of an album  and they have a back catalogue of some classic pop songs.

I was at that - great gig - although memory is hazy!

I also saw them in Crystal Palace - they played on an island in a lake.

Aim Low and miss...
