Bundobust - Not much meat on offer, but affordable and usually got decent ale in as well

Sous le Nez en Ville.

I'd offer you a beer, but I've only got six cans.

Best interior and glamour factor is Iberico. All Tapas. Very expensive, in my opinion. https://www.ibericarestaurants.com/menu … eeds-menu/

Depends what your're after. I guess not Japanese as you live there.

Thai: Sukhothai is best in Leeds in my opinion. Best decour and menu.  https://sukhothai.co.uk/

Chinese: Red Chilli https://redchillirestaurant.co.uk/leeds/ Im not a big Chinese food fan but this place I go back to when the urge takes me.

Steak: Stockdales (ex Sams chop house) lovely decor and decent menu. https://stockdales-restaurant.com/restaurant/

French: Sous Le Nez. Been going for years, out lived them all.  http://www.souslenez.com/

New English: Foundry. Just had a new chef take over and do it up. I liked it before personally. Not tried the new invention, looks a bit nouveau for me. http://mhfoundry.co.uk/

Italian : An old classic, beautiful looking inside all Art Deco although underneath a shitty car park it's a Leeds landmark http://www.bibisrestaurant.com/

If it was me I'd go with Iberico for the overall wow factor in terms of lovely old building and style inside. It's an old Jewish auction house. The downstairs bar is the loading bay where they brought in all the stuff to be auctioned. Has massive Jamon Cerano on the bar. Looks ace.

Go in for a few drinks in the bar and then up stairs for the sit down meal.

I actually prefer the food at Viva De Cuba.

Bundobust is ACE! Great beer and great food but more a few mates after work than a celebration I reckon.

These are good suggestions, the Spanish place on east Parade looks like a winner. Thank you.

For a mucky curry, I will likely go to one of my old haunts in Bradford, although there is a belter in Skipton that my brother took me to once, which allows me to avoid Bradford. Then again, I will be going to salts Mill and Saltaire brewery so can pop over easy enough.

There's Aagrah at Shipley - 5mins from Saltaire.

Can't go wrong with Aagrah.

Trav did a big write up on Iberico on here. Cant find it.

Kendalls looks ace. Like the line on the website "The salmon in puff pastry was so delicious I want to name my first born child after the chef".  big_smile

Think I'd prefer Sous le Nez or Kendell's.

Matt Healy's taken this over, good Horsforth lad. My old man and his (RIP) go way back. Matt was runner up on Celebrity Master Chef. He's known for good honest, no nonsense food I believe. Going to check next time I'm back in Leeds. Really like his approach on Cranble TV.
