Re: Arrivals

Congrats mate, we were the same. None of the buddhist stuff but she was determined to go natural. Then the labour kicked in and I told her to have something if she wanted to, so she did. It made her a lot more relaxed, obviously took the pain element away. We'd not done all the natural build up, it was more like, I'll do this natural, then on the day, completely different story.

Strange as a Dad being at the business end of it all and we get the first look at the little thing as well.

Re: Arrivals

My wife was the complete opposite, so looking forward to having an epidural but she dilated that fast there wasn't time for one. Like LL i stayed at the top end, even when the nurse said  ' the heads appeared Mr CBIT, would you like to look'  and responded with a resounding Nooooooo

Yeah, I was stood to the side. It was a bit like being in the West Stand but without all the fur coats and Barbours.

I was down the business end on the first birth but only because there was major complications.  At one point the stirrups collapsed and I was holding one leg looking across at a (fit) junior nurse who was holding the other - the thoughts going through my mind at the time would have kept Freud busy for years

Re: Arrivals

I had a look at both C-Sections. Like that scene from Alien!

She’s the main man in the office in the city and she treats me like I’m just another lackey, but I can put a tennis racket up against my face and pretend that I am Kendo Nagasaki...

Re: Arrivals

A baby boy.

Born 3:16pm today by c-section.
