Re: James Milner

He is very important to my fantasy dream team - listed as a midfielder, plays full back and takes pens!

Aim Low and miss...

Re: James Milner

Proper footballer that lad. Fit, strong, doesn't act the cunt, just turns up and does his bollocks in every week for his team.

Got massive respect for him.

Re: James Milner

He's ace.

Same age as Rooney and charging around rather than strolling. Looks after himself.

This. The new Paul Madeley

It appears that Biesla has got our lot trying to do the same thing.

Re: James Milner

A lovely lovely lad. You probably all know that he used to get the PFA to negotiate his contract for him, none of this flash agent bollocks. Dunno if he still does. Built like a proverbial brick shithouse as well. Truly honest lad, best compliment I can pay him. Would love him back at Leeds - maybe next season? Bet Marcelo rates him.

Good summary. I would love to have him back at Leeds if we manage to get promoted, he could offer invaluable assistance to the squad in navigating the new level. A whole new ball game in that league.

Liverpool news: Major James Milner contract update with Leeds claim made
JAMES MILNER has not been approached by Liverpool yet over a new contract.

Stephen Warnock: Liverpool's James Milner is BRILLIANT

The 32-year-old has proved to be an important player in Jurgen Klopp’s side, despite their strong investment in midfielders this summer.

Emre Can’s departure on a free to Juventus saw Naby Keita and Fabinho arrive from RB Leipzig and Monaco respectively.

The pair collectively cost more than £80m, but neither have been mainstayers in the first XI so far this term.

Milner, meanwhile, has been critical to Liverpool’s 100 per cent record at the start of the campaign.

He scored from the penalty spot in Tuesday’s 3-2 Champions League win over PSG at Anfield.

And calls have been made from fans for the former Manchester City and Aston Villa star to be rewarded and tied down to a longer deal.

Milner’s current contract expires at the end of next season, meaning he could leave on a free transfer come 2020.

The ex-England international would be 34 by then, however, he has shown no signs of slowing down despite his long career at the top level.

Liverpool news: James Milner has not been approached by the club over a new deal
“Liverpool are yet to make any move over a new deal”

Milner broke through at boyhood club Leeds way back in 2002, making his Premier League debut in November that year.

He has played consistently in England’s top flight every season since, having already amassed 663 career appearances in all competitions.

Despite his influence on and off the pitch at Anfield, the Daily Mail say Liverpool are yet to make any move over a new deal.

There were rumours of a one-year extension earlier this year, but it appears the club are still holding off.

As a result, Milner could ultimately run down his contract on Merseyside, which would make him a free agent ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The Leeds-born midfielder has made no secret of his desire to return to Elland Road before his career ends, having had to leave prematurely in 2004 due to the club’s financial problems and relegation.

Under Marcelo Bielsa, Leeds are shining though and sit top of the Championship table after eight games.

Should Leeds earn promotion back to the Premier League, the Daily Mail add it could raise the likelihood of an emotional return to his old side.
