I went interrailing when I was 19 with very little money and no sleeping bag. Was a pretty memorable if tough experience.

Had to sleep on over night trains and platforms. Beg for money, steal food and waiters tips to eat. Exsisting but travelling.

When back home I got some mc jobs. Then decided to get my act together went back to college and got the minimum qualifications to get an office job.

During that period I read “Autobiography of A supertramp” and that coupled my own Eurotramping odyssey sparked my interest with hoboing and tramping.

On youtube there are loads of videos of people train hopping and surfing in US and Europe. Not tramps but living like them for the buzz of riding on freight trains for free. I cant stop watching them the scenery is incredible. Theres something about travelling on trains its weird. Its in me, like a constant hidden current of desire. To hear that repeatative clack the rhythmn the rocking motion.

I want to do the trans siberiean when allowed back into Russia. Tried selling to the wife and family they think Im mental. Its on my list.
