Everyone on this board has bought, listened to, watched, been to, seen something or somewhere, that's been recommended on OMJ. Look around you. Look at your bookshelf, your music, your clothes, your TV viewing, films you've watched, books you've read, holidays you've been on, beer you've drunk and restaurants you've visited - and this is the case for me with Pacific Ocean Blue, the album that this track comes from.

When I first joined up on here it was a few months before the mighty crash of 2007. Everything was lost. Bit by bit the rebuild happened and for a while the consistent topics that were discussed were Shack, Timothy Taylor's Landlord - the official beer of OMJ - and for a number of weeks, this Dennis Wilson album. I think KW started the thread. So I bought the CD, which brings me to this choice.

I've not heard it said for a while, and it used to be regularly trotted out on here, that OMJ was dying. And maybe we all thought it might. It has of course, evolved enormously from its original concept. It has seemingly become, as I one of the threads is called, a man's club - with a couple of exceptions of course and I think that's a good thing. We're cyber freemasons.

The track itself is a little slice of joy. I find those opening few cascading notes always lift me for a few seconds like a Pavlov's dog's reaction. On Friday it came on in the car as it's on a couple of my playlists. I was on my way to work down a country lane, the spring sun was shining. This appeared and I immediately felt lifted.

Dennis Wilson was bit of a rum cove - knocked about with the Manson clan, big into the drink, the drugs, the ladies and dead at 39.

It was either this or the opener, River Song, both great.

In summary, I guess it represents a couple of things to me. It's One Mick Jones and who we are and also a brief sliver of happiness, plus, and most importantly to me, I just think it's a great track.
