Who's had what band T-shirts down the years then? Embarrassing or otherwise? Not had one for best part of 20 years I'd imagine.Never a big wearer but I'll openly admit to:Stone Roses - the lemon one, the proper one, not the shitty one that came out a bit later. Bought at the 1990 Blackpool gig.Wedding Present - 'Tommy' - bought on their Bizarro tour when the one I was wearing turned into a piss wet flannel at Leeds Poly. The Orb - Bought at Hull Uni when not fully compos mentis. Had a nice spaceman on it.A Madness one at school. And when pressed...A Pink Floyd one because I was cold and a Bowie Glass Spider tour one from 1987 (yeh, fuck off I know).

First one ever.. Madness, with 2 dancing two-tone men on it. Then a brilliant Undertones one with the graphics from the sleeve of The Positive Touch LP, that got nicked when my bag was stolen on holiday, very sad. An Alarm bootleg boutght after a gig in Llandudno I cut the sleeves off to look more like Mike Peters. The Milltown Brothers bought after a gig in London, I liked the red and green apple logo on it. Purple Happy Mondays long sleeve I got at that big G-Mex gig, The Farm with the subbuteo player logo on it, Black Grape with the Carlos the Jackal logo, Super Furries with the first album cover Howard Marks design, Catatonia from the gig they played in Llangollen-good graphics, I also bought a Paul Weller cap at a gig in manchester at the time of Stanley Road with the little RAF logo on the front. My brother had the iconic 35 Summers Bill Shankley t-shirt.

Have had and worn a Depeche Mode 'Get the balance right' t-shirt bought in Oostende in the early 80s. Bought it from a record store that was playing the UK chart show on Radio 1 MW on Tuesday lunchtime (remember when they did that?). Or was it Thursday?I couldn't believe the signal got all the way to Belgium, but through doing the GCSE science I now know the power of the radio spectrum.Crazy Belgians.

Had loads and still got loads...These still get worn quite regular..Zappa, The Who, Rammstein, Hellacopters, The Clash, Ramones, Pistols, Gaye Bykers on Acid, Hendrix...

I've bought a few, though not for a very long time. After some 25 years, my favourite was, and remains, my Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures t-shirt. I still have it, though it hasn't seen much of the light of day since.I have also got a Nine Below Zero t-shirt that slightly pre-dates the JD one. It's been worn ragged (it's not just translucent - it's almost transparent). But I still have it in a drawer, principally for sentimental reasons.

Sex Pistols bought from Butlins in Barry Island while on holiday (must have been 1978). New Order, the one with a green abstract design on, which was made for a mini tour that they did. Had about four of five tour dates on the back. I'm sure that one of them was Northampton Roadmenders. Happy Mondays Cocteau Twins (both bought at gigs) and Boards of Canada.I'm sure there must be more.

Just the one for me - The Pop Group - We Are All Prostitutes, had a doctored picture of Margaret Thatcher flashing a V.

First one was a Pistols t-shirt, bought by my Mum from the orginal X Clothes, they asked her if she wanted to sit down. Had loads from Priestley's, Damned, Exploited, dodgy Upstarts one that looked like an NF shirt (lion, red white and blue and all that), a blue UK Subs Another Kind of Blues. Crass one with the Pistols and Maggie, the Pope etc heads.Unknown Pleasures (when you bought them from HMV wrapped like lps).A yellow Bridewells one that had a drawstring around the bottom for some strange reason.A Farm Ugly as Fuck. Had a cracking BAD one that I wish I'd kept.Got a nice Rival Schools one, great logo and colours.

Had this flourescent pink New Order 1989 US tour t-shirt which was a huge pose in every way (I've never seen them live at all, let alone over the pond). The fact that it was slightly too small, and that it was, well, flourescent pink, meant that it didn't get a huge amount of public service...Don't know why I used the past tense, I've still got it - thin and holey and not even used in bed now so that it doesn't get totally fucked. Can't bring myself to chuck it.
