Placid 90Piesanhour So lucky to live where we do. Stunning. Totally agree. BTW, I cycled from Malham to Skipton recently, love the canal into Skipton from Gargrave. It's a lovely town.
otis Done las colarades via papya to that lighthouse and back last 3 days 15 to 17 miles per day. My feet are battered and burnt to fuck. Back on it again tomorrow
Placid otis Might be mistaken about Placid Fkin dam right!! Couldnt get time off work, thought of 2 weeks with Gobby and Crad also put me off😂😂 Gobby and Crad did the whole thing, Ewan and Needham did last ten miles for the victory lap. Total and utter Terryism.
fuzzy CharlieG Did Sale Fell last summer. Nice walk. Up through the woods at first. There were loads of jets flying overhead when we did it. Nice food in that Pheasant Inn afterwards. Lovely old pub that.
Placid Might do an OMJ ramble in spring if anyone fancies it. Something less harmful to our braincells than getting mullered in pubs and on trains.
fuzzy Placid I'd be bang up for that. I may have used up all my goes with drinking (not had one since Jan) but got loads more walks in me.
90Piesanhour Placid The Settle Carlisle line has some great locations to ramble and drink. Bleeding beautiful AND you've got the viaduct... https://settle-carlisle.co.uk/
Jon Just pulled in to Grassmere YHA as the light was fading. Feet are absolutely battered. Knee acting up a bit. Nipper is a rock star, taking care of the old man. Could not ask for better company. Not sure we’ll finish it and I don’t really care. If we bail, we bail. It’s not a competition. I will post more as and when and if we finish, or say fuck it.
Harvest Jon Marvelous stuff. Giving Travis a run for his money in the doing ace but knackering stuff with the kid(s) stakes.
Djpekingman Jon Which YH were you in? Only one I've ever stayed in was up the hill going out of Grassmere in about 1979 on a Geography field trip from Park Lane College. Down the other side of the hill in the village at the bottom was an ace pub. So ace in fact we stayed n there til closing and missed the lock up. So after rogering the girl I'd pulled on the lawn we tried to get in. All locked and a massive dog making enough noise to wake the dead behind one of the doors. Eventually found a window that was unlocked so nipped in there and to bed. Lecturer gave us a bollocking the following day. Not only was I paying for the A level course (well work was), but I was around 19, 20. sWTF. I just laughed and walked off. Still got a grade A.
