10.20 pm in bed watching the severe thunderstorm roll in from over on the Island with the alarm set for 630am to get online and snag park passes for Joffre Lake Trail. Pic 1 . Only 400 metre climb to the higher point at 1600metres/ 5600ft …should be fun . Easy-ish hike due to tougher ones being not an option . 👇
Wanted to do Iceberg Trail but it goes through grizzly territory and there’s a few out plus a cougar so we’re giving that a swerve 😁 looks ace as you climb up to an alpine lake that’s got icebergs all year round . 900 metres climb up to the 1650 metre summit . Next summer ! Pic 2
