Good to see a bit of cat content in a world dominated by dog lovers (yes, I know, supporting Huddersfield Town … insert your own joke). Our last cat got into some right scrapes. He once went missing for about a week and was found under my mate’s floorboards. He’d obviously followed us from a distance, crept into my mate’s yard and through a gap in the door as it was a warm day. There was some pipe work going on in the house and he decided to explore. Probably asleep when the floorboards were put back. Anyway, my mate was terrified he had giant rats so a totally black (previously grey and white) cat emerging was a result! No idea how he made it to 20 years old, but he was living the high life. Half the street seemed to be feeding him and getting regular visits.
Now got two little ginger boys, rescue cats, who are causing mayhem. They’re like The Krays, constantly fighting other cats and bringing home shrews, voles, mice and rats (thankfully usually dead). Cats … great set of lads.
