A small bakery on Harrogate Road, going out north from Chapel Allerton, on right hand side before you get to The Queen's. Next doorish to Mama Mia's Pizza shop / Olive Tree. The lad who set this up about 14 months back, from Armley originally I think, used to be MPWhite's pastry chef. I'm not on commission but really he is brilliant. Evenings Tue-Fri 530-9pm they do take away meals £7 a pop, just great scran - best take-out you can get - 4 or 5 choices rotating around.Daytime, great bread, biggest and best pork and apple sausage rolls you've seen, amazing pastry on them, all meat from butchers down the road, slices of home made pork pie that even BB would give top marks, selection of 4 or 5 hot lunches and maybe best of all the butty's at £2.50 a throw - huge, fantastic, the best butty's I've ever had anywhere. You can eat in but there's only about 10 covers in the place - tiny.He also won best cupcake of the UK a few months ago if you like cupcakes - I don't. The brownies though are great - try chocolate and chilli or peanut. It's all a bit underpriced for what it is I reckon - enjoy.

Just had a cheese salad butty. Is top value. Nice bird that served me. Sausage rolls are absolutely enormous. Well worth a visit. Chapel Allerton is unrecognisable these days.
