Finally! I had a pair of these in 1981/2 whilst at college. Went to the city centre for some Trimm Trabs from Oasis but couldn't find any in my big foot size.
Dejected I walked round town in some faint hope of finding TTs.
Saw these new trainers in, I think, MC sports at the back end of the Arndale.
Tried em on, comfy as, and took the plunge.
Result.
Like King Dick walking around with that slightly nervous feeling of oneupmanship, but they looked great with some split seam cords.

My mate had a pair. I thought they were smarter than all the Adidas at the time.
Surprised you had to get Trim Trab from Oasis. They sold them on Top Shop in Leeds. Maybe it’s the years and we were behind again?

Well smart them. Puts me in mind of some of the Diadora trainers you could hunt down.

Mind you, anything was a step up from my middle-school Whizz Kids. I'm sure you got these from Freeman Hardy & Willis - I'm certain that the roll-up on the front carried onto the rear.

Paired with this bag (in red), that I got from a shop on Blackpool front that also displayed (in the window) a vibrator that was titled 'Non-Doctor'. I'm getting a rush just thinking about the rush I got...

Trimm.Trab were unavailable in any UK high street shops until late 82 or early 83.
I got some in a back street sports shop in Benidorm in Summer 82.
The Green with Navy stripes. Ace.
Problem was I was so eager to buy them that I tried to squeeze into the biggest size available, which was still a bit too small for me.
Wore them to the first London away match when got home and nearly crippled me. Recall hobbling down Piccadilly station approach at about 9.00. 😖 Long day that.

cordshoes I swapped a Pringle with the neighbour for a pair of those. Hated the attention and swapped them with a lad at the match for a pair of Samba.
I had a pair of Puma Colorado that I thought looked ace but, on reflection, were a bit like brothel creepers.

hendersonjones I’m not really a fan of either, but empathise. If I was a young lad and they had done some for my team, I’m sure I’d have been after some. I’d probably have been as far back as third in the queue too so unless they were extremely limited edition, I’d have been alright! Don’t mind a bit of MK and can imagine he’s decent live.
