Roddy Frame was on tour last year with Edwin Collins. Saw them at a great Festival in Barcelona. They closed with Girl Like You and the guitar outro played by Frame was otherworldly. Had this Festival had a roof, it would, no doubt, have been taken right off. Day before said gig we bumped into him in a bar by the beach. Sound chap. Well until an associate of mine, a rather larger than life Mancunian with mutton chop side burns, Diedrie Rachid specs and a pear cider affliction asked Frame 'did you live in a caravan in Marple Bridge?' and that was the end of that.
