I'm working on a 80's 12" remix playlist at the moment. Jeez it's all Linn drums and breathy Fairlights, with a smattering of Paul Morley manifestos.
Some of it doesn't stand up well. At all.
I once had a (get this) Go West remix album and it was surprisingly good. I cannot find it on my streaming service. Current faves are some of the Tears for Fears extended cuts, PSB's Disco album and there's a great version of Haircut 100's Favourite Shirts rattling round my living room right now.
Wife's Mum's funeral today and I could not make it due to the kennels not being able to take the dogs in this cold snap, plus train strikes and lots of other inconsequential stuff which she is fine with.
I went to church today, at the same time of the funeral and sat there contemplating. In times of emotional meh, I gravitate to me being 12-21 years of age.
