Dean Francis too

Omg. Brendan Ingle was as good as they got and Den Francis was and excellent professional in a time when there were some great fighters at his weight. Sad day for boxing.

70's New Zealand middle and long distance running legend Dick Quax.
And 70s running legends should have names like Dick Quax.

That Aberdeen team of early 80s, names still roll off the tongue, Jim Leighton, Alex McLeish, Willie Millar, Eric Black, Mark McGhee, John Hewitt.
Funny the way that teams of a certain era stick in your mind and can still put faces to the names 30 odd years later. Ipswich 81/82, West Ham United 86, Dundee United 83, Watford 83/84. And that knowledge was garnered from Panini sticker albums, Shoot/ Match and newspapers, no internet and very little tv. I doubt kids 30 years from now will remember teams from nowadays-or maybe I’m just being cynical

They'll remember players.
And their stats.

That's true. I think quite a bit might be down to the cup final day TV coverage and terrestrial TV doing UEFA.

McGhee & McMaster. They’ve been stuck in my mind ever since I got about 100 copies of a Panini double sticker in the early 80’s. It felt like they were stalking me at one point; one sticker every three packs or so it seemed.

Perennial embarrassment to Yorkshire Peter Stringfellow - 77.

Embarrassment perhaps, Reggie, but I'll always give him credit for his Mojo in Sheffield. A great club, in the mid-60s probably second to the Twisted Wheel in Manc as a top Northern mod spot.
Cutsyke
Kate Spade. I used to see her in her little shop when she was just starting out. Looked so out of place on a somewhat dark, though nice, block. Like something transported from a movie about JFK. Shame.
