So much beautiful music. How can talent be dividend so unevenly in this world. 91’s not a bad age is it? I’d long harboured a dream to see him but the truth is any orchestra worth it’s salt couple do his music justice. Had planned to see an orchestra this year. Maybe next?

Tim Smith of "Cardiacs" fame. I've got no details yet, but I'm floored by this news.

This was my favourite band as a teenager and through my 20s. Followed them live when they played the Midlands. Worked with their lighting engineer for some gigs (for free!) for a while in the late 80s. Tim always seemed a quiet, polite and unassuming bloke off stage and a mad fucking monster on it.

I'm seriously gutted. He really was one of a kind.

Reggie_Perrin It's difficult to explain their appeal as most of it was their live performances. Their manager fell out with the editor of NME who banned any mention of them - this made it hard for them to break into mainstream - which is why I stopped buying the NME over 30 years ago.

Alongside Danny Kirwin who was only 18 playing alongside him who sadly also passed away a few years back.

Worked with a bloke, who retired 10 years ago, he saw Peter Green pre Fleetwood Mac.
He was playing with another guitarist, who walked off the stage not long into the set.
Apparently Green was on another level in those days.
