king_of_the_slums Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman dies aged 43. Thought he was excellent as Jackie Robinson in 42.
Flaneur Oh man, aged 43. Loved him as Black Panther. Going to be a lot of explaining to kids across the world...
doggybag Shocked, couldn't believe it when I read it this morning. He'd had the cancer for four years apparently. Kept it quiet and worked almost to the end. He was a super handsome, talented man. He made a mark. RIP
Jon I thought It was a pretty poor movie but my kids loved it. Christ almighty what a man though, to keep that to yourself and work at that level while undergoing treatment. Sad loss indeed.
king_of_the_slums Dave Beer once set him on fire for being a knob and I hear he rocked up at Ministry of Sound, plugged his headphones in and took the needle off the record Ashley Beedle was playing. Ashley knocked him out clean down the stairs from the booth to the dance-floor.
MDF Baseball Hall of Famer, New York Mets legend. Only pitcher in the modern era to have 300 wins, 3000 strikeouts and an ERA of under 3. MLB record of most consecutive strikeouts thrown (10). Tom Seaver. RIP.
