Harvest

Eddie Van Halen.

Harvest No more jumping, then.

Harvest
I loved that 1984 album even if it wasn't my sort of music..... All that hair and Spandex.

Travis_Bickle

Very few people genuinely change the game in music. He did.
Love a bit of VH.....

Harvest

90Piesanhour Doubtful.

Mega_Armageddon_Chickens

Johnny Nash

90Piesanhour

I thought Van Halen were unlistenable, ludicrous, dogshit, but I never wished any of them dead.

90Piesanhour I can see where you're coming from. Personally I found them to be the least annoying of the American "Cock Rock" bands. But you have to admit that the fucker could shred guitar when he wanted to. I guess Dave Lee Roth wasn't a bad singer either.

Bod
No matter the circumstances mate, I was sorry to read this.
You come across as sound, like all the others on here, and I remember you sending me your membership card so I could get a mate down from Aberdeen into L. Orient away.
Keep your chin up.

I was never a Van Halen fan and didn t know much about them, but like you sad to see a 65 year bloke die of cancer, way too soon.
Can t remember if it was when I went to see Aztec Camera or Roddy Frame solo, but it was years ago. Roddy Frame said, tongue firmly in cheek "I m going to sing a song about suicide now, I know these things, cos i`m a rock star"

Eddie Van Halen RIP

Bod

zico
Thanks for that. It was a good few years ago I sent that membership card to you, Orient away, jesus.

90Piesanhour

Mega_Armageddon_Chickens No longer sees as clearly as before, I imagine.

Anchor

Bod In the league?

Bod

Anchor
Yes, it must have been in the league 1 days.

90Piesanhour

Bod I was at that game, in the Ortent end with some Orient-supporting printers. Didn't Beckford score 2 goals? Was it 2 or 3-0?

Anchor

Tidy ground Orient. Shit fucking boozers. Went there with Dover. Mental how teams are dropping out the league with that history.

Raposa

90Piesanhour
Dependent on dry weather of course.

Travis_Bickle

Anchor Went to watch Halifax there last season. Those flats in the corners are mental. Last time before that was '86 or '87ish when our kid lived in London. Very different place back then.

Anchor

Travis_Bickle Yes - nice view! One pub on the high street - the Coach and Horses I think. Had Blue Moon on tap though - which was nice.

Anchor

Well bugger me - I had no idea Peter Whittingham had died. saw a tribute before the England game last night.

Banged his head and it killed him. Jeez.
