Death List 2026

He done well , getting them promotion first go and built a good side . Buchan was quality especially. Remember the October 75 game and the semi, was at both.
Seen him in a question and answer early 90's pub in Chester. Pooh poohed my question, Can you see a lot of African imports to the top flight, as kiwamia and ndluv had just broken through.
Fancy losing a top job now on morality.
RIP

My dad used to run into one of his lads quite often (Michael I think) who wasn't a fan of The Doc at all.
In his defence my Mum who lived near him during his days at PNE said he always went to Mass.
I bet he got more than 3 Hail Marys and 1 Our Father after confession.
A warts and all book I imagine would have been very entertaining.

Tommy doc, Tommy doc.
Is it true that Mary Brown has sucked your cock.

Travis_Bickle

white_dragon was going to mention Buchan. One of the first footballers I remember thinking was really good.

Raposa Steve Coppell could play a bit.

Worked with Buchan when he was at Puma UK as the go-between them and the sportsmen. I was photographing Jason Robinson and one of the Pauls (Henry?) on the pitch at Wigan. He went off to organise some coffees and came back 20mins later with a tray of half a dozen cups on it. 'Look at this' he shouts, 'I was once captain of the biggest team in the world. Now, I'm just a fucking teaboy!'

Travis_Bickle

SardineTree our Mark (Proctor) wore Puma for a lot of his career. When he was at Sheffield Wednesday the kit deal with Hummel included boots for the players. He lasted a couple of games.
Puma King. Kangaroo hide.
I had loads of Puma kit....

The nicest thing I can say about Tommy Doc is that if he could have kept it in his trousers ManUtd would have won the league long before Fergie. Got Scotland going too.

Flaneur

Some team that...

l.q.navarro.

MF Doom. Bit of a shock that. Used to think he was great.

doggybag

I might have missed it but I didn't see any mention of the recent death of Chuck Yaeger, the first man through the sound barrier (the first one to do it and live anyway). He was also the key figure in Tom Wolfe's "The right stuff". They don't make 'em out that stuff no more. Watch out you angels, he's coming right back at ya! RIP

90Piesanhour

@l.q.navarro.#442480 Our 16-year old son mentioned it. Told me he was his favourite rapper, great lyrics and attitude. Never heard of him, myself, even though I do usually have a passing knowledge of this genre.

Loose_Lips

@l.q.navarro.#442480 what?????

Fucking hell. My favourite hip hip hop producer just before Madlib.

Wow thats a real shame. Beyond talented.

At Hillsborough quite a lot in those days, Des Walker, David Hirst. Always left with a crate of beer when Hirst was around!! Got to see 'em play Forest who I think won 1-6, Collymore and Roy running riot. Seem to remember Trevor Francis sacked not long after - he was a miserable twat!

Mega_Armageddon_Chickens

Mark Eden the actor who played Coronation Street's Alan Bradley, famously killed by a tram.

The Bastard!
In real life married long term to Audrey "actually" Roberts.

I remember him destroying us for Barnsley when he was about 17 but looked 30. A lad I knew years ago had a brother who was the Doctor at Sheff Wed reported it was not unusual for Hirst to ask to be subbed late in the game so he could beat the queues to the bar.

Think Manure were sniffing around at the time.

Cooley

I don’t know if it was Bradley or that head-the-ball, Jordache fella from Brookie, but I read somewhere that one of them was so good in their role they struggled to get work later on, so convincing were they.

Manure?
Think they bought somebody else.
