Re: Mac - tragic but partial recoveries from strokes are even more so. An acquaintance, as opposed to mate, who lives near, had a stroke 2 yrs ago, still has a trachy tube, has to be fed by NG tube, has no use of his left side limbs and needs constant care. Used to play loads of golf, enjoyed his food and drink but is now a 58 yr old baby, to all intents and purposes. Fucking living hell.RIP, Mac. Still remember seeing the Faces at the Queens Hall - queued outside Valances on the Headrow for tickets whilst teachers, from a number of schools, prowled up and down, pulling out kids who'd legged it off. We managed not to get caught, for some reason.
