Legend doesn't even start to cover it.
That Foreman knockout, for me,was the single best sporting moment of all time.
RIP.

Of all my heroes he's my heroest. GOAT. RIP.
That'll be the price of my book going up.

Always had mixed feelings about him. Undeniable achievements and undeniable positive affect on opportunities for black athletes. His religious views and the way he treated Frazier never sat well with me.

RIP. Proper legend.

A supreme boxer, a very driven man, most famous man in the world. What he did for boxing in three years the likes of Vladimir klitschko couldn't do in three lifetimes. I once had the pleasure of meeting him and it's difficult to say how I felt in his company. I was completely awestruck and it was almost like a religious experience. There was something about him ......

A real hero of mine as a kid. Oozed charisma.

Top man. Campaigned for black rights, refused to help rape Vietnam, boxed like a god - and I hate boxing.
Legend is bandied about too often, but he must come close.
Great on Parkinson, too....

This is fucking horrific. Was she anyone's MP?

Used to live in Batley and Spen but that was years back before Uni
Mum and dad live just up the road from Birstall On hearing the news my sister rang my mum to make sure everything was ok, as my dad, in his early eighties, takes himself for long afternoon strolls and could well have been passing the scene if he'd been on one of his usual routes
Luckily he wasn't

Barely believable and truly horrific. The guy must have been unhinged.

A mate worked as a researcher for the Labour Party same time as she was doing the same. Said she was a good laugh, down to earth, said they used to have a few drinks in the parliamentary bar. Didn't take herself too seriously, but sharp as a tack. Northern lass done well.
It's unimaginable going out to do your job and being faced with that.
Poor kids..

Well written
I don't necessarily agree with all the points but we should get journalism like that to the broader masses
I'm from near Cleck which is in Spen. I rang my mum last night and she was crying. Crying as she didn't know what the World is coming to. Crying as it happened a couple of miles away. Crying as she though this stuff happened elsewhere
I wished I could have been there to give her a hug

Great piece.
But, still. Look. When you encourage rage you cannot then feign surprise when people become enraged. You cannot turn around and say, ‘Mate, you weren’t supposed to take it so seriously. It’s just a game, just a ploy, a strategy for winning votes.’
Really struggled to find words for this. It's a mental illness issue by the sound of it, with some extreme and warped views thrown in. His brother said he had a history of mental illness but no political views that he knew of.
Tragic stuff. Makes you want to weep.

All of the above. I notice Britain First, a right bunch of nazialikes if ever I saw any, or trying to quickly distance themselves from the whole thing.
Where the fuck did he get a gun? My son read that it may have been a home made one....
Loose_Lips
Reports of some sort of antique musket pistol.
A tragic, desparate situation.
What a fucking state we're all in.
