Who rides to work?

My place of work is about two miles away but I am reticent. I just don't want to be all sweaty when I get there and there is a pretty hefty hill early doors.

Any suggestions?

I could pop me shirt and jumper in a bag and just change me top in the bogs when I get there I suppose.

Anchor I often ride 15 miles into work. Give yourself half an hour to cool down, shower-in-a-can ( Ted Baker body spray, currently), clean clobber, erm, Bosh! .......as you say.

I think I'll just have a leisurely pootle to work and go up the hill in me granny ring. It's 1.7 miles - how sweaty can I get.

Haven't bought a bike in years, not into mountain bikes and a road bike, as much i would love one, is too self indulgent, so thought a cyclo cross would be ideal. Bit of road, easy trails and family rides.
We're in the upper area of Bavaria which is by and large rolling countryside.

Any recommendations gents, and yes agree on the spending the extra little bit to get a groupset that doesn't fall apart on the first hammering. 5/600 euros . Thanks

Under-the-ground What tires do you have on it? You put in serious miles. My Uncle John is a real Frankenbike made, mostly, of cheap parts. Consequently, it has some Mud 2s on that were a bargain eBay purchase but aren’t really that great on regular roads.

I'm seriously considering buying a hardtail or gravel bike and keeping the Orange as something to look at. A combination of falls and age mean that I can't and don't ride gnarly stuff anymore. I'm not petrified but I get those nerves and reluctance that make you more likely to fall off. You have to commit and stay off the brakes. I don't do either.
Bloke near us has a Ribble gravel bike. Lovely bit of kit. Way more than I could justify though.

Travis_Bickle Buy one, don’t build one. It’s cheaper in the long run and you get to ride it way sooner. 😂
