They reckon you need 25-28 on the website. I'm going 34 with a triple!

I had a run out yesterday morning with my new bike mate. A great ride full of hills which wasn't meant as a hilly one. Still I was dancing on the pedals and my legs felt well strong. But the nicest rides I have done for a while. Probably because it was in day light. 60k's worth in 3.5hours with half an hour coffee break. He had just come back from the Pyrenees cycling over 5days the jammy cunt. Sone great photos tho. Looked immense. I seemed to have entered a London to Paris ride in 24hrs next year, in July. Will be a good challenge, and you can relay it. So it won't be that bad. Another good target tho! Only problem I need to raise a grand, as it is for charity. Although I don't like to talk about it!

Bike mate, as in person, not a bike. I wish I could get a new one

Mum's rented a new house. Moved in today. Bottom of Holme Moss. Me and my uncle have told her they need to extend the 6 month lease to July....

Went up today. Row of houses that overlook Buckhill Reservoir, just before Holme village. Beautiful spot. Will be perfect if they're still there when the Tour goes past. Easy to get onto the climb etc. Could park up on the other side of the reservoir and drive to a further point in the route. Maybe.

Somebody lend me £1600. Don't need to ride it, I'll just look at it....

You can almost see his ball bang splitting! NastyHaven't been on the bike since last week! I did a nice 50miles mind. I have actually entered London to Paris 24 over the weekend. Shitting it. Can I do the whole lot or not, or should I go for the relay? Also I have got to raise a £1000squid which is worse than the fucking bike ride. Still I am gonna do it. The 300k audax target should be a good starter for 10mind!

Have my first 100 mile ride planned for between Xmas and New Year. Going to ride from home to Leeds and then out to the Dales and back on a loop (75 mile-ish). Can't avoid hills but won't be doing any big climbs. Uncle found out I'm doing the Etape Du Dales next year. Apparently it's a 'right bastard'!Been on the MTB last couple of weeks. MTBing Sadleworth way this Saturday.280 miles isn't it UTA? Mental!

I have just now received all my Audax stuff, as I am now a member. A cracking magazine comes with it, called Arivee, with some great articles on LEL (London Edinburgh London). Really makes you want to get on the bike.I spent last night putting a 30t cassette on the back, as I was fed up with blasting my legs to bits. This should help me spin up them a bit better. Needs a bit of adjusting, but looking forward to taking Chris up Star Hill by me & testing it & myself out. The last two occasions I have left by mind and legs half way up the hill. It is knocking on 16%.
