Discharged from fracture clinic, for the shoulder dislocation. Still hurts but I'm doing OK in terms of range of movement. The consultant says there's no reason not to get back on the bike, as long as I take it easy......

Placid That's great news. They resprayed a couple of my frames - a late 90's Marin Pine Mountain in British Racing Green and a s/s On One Inbred in a very bright orange. Still got the Marin frame and regret selling the On One - s/s, rigid with Pace RC31 carbon forks, real fun biketo ride.

Placid Just seen this. Good news and also a bit sad. I find it incredible to believe they couldn't find anyone willing to apprentice. I'd sell up and move home to retrain and learn skills like that.

I'm getting back out this week, got to lose (quite) a few pounds. Still wary of the traffic. Thought about riding every street in our town but there's a lot of cul-de-sacs and you look like a weirdo riding up dead end streets. They'd call the cops round here.
Ride round Anglesey sounds cool. Good luck with that. Hope you get the weather.

Tentative ride out to Threlkeld, on the railway path. Only 8 miles but first time out since dislocating the shoulder in October. Seemed to go OK.

So. Pro cycling has made a tentative start with some lesser ranked French races drawing world tour teams to make them pretty interesting. Ettoile De Bressages (sp) last week had some decent turns from Ganna from Ineos. Fucking unit that man.

But for me Ooonloop Heiut Newsblad is the spring classics opener. 27th Feb - decent amount of cobbles and a wicked few inclines. Weather can be afactore also.

Further aheah interesting and right that Ineos are sending Tao and Thomas to the Tour and Bernal to the Giro.

Also It will ace to see MVDP at, hopefully the Tour + 1 tearing up a grand tour as his Fenix squad has earnt slots on all three grand tours.

Demons confronted and beaten, this afternoon. Went back to the off camber S bend, off Catbells terrace for the first time since dislocating the shoulder and railed it...........actually I minced round it but it's 1 - 1, now. Need to get speed and fitness back, from the here on in.

I've been back on the MTB - last sunday and last night now the weather has picked up.
