Took charge today of my bike with the Swytch ebike kit now fitted. Not had chance for a proper ride but if the battery does the distance claimed I will be happy.

I've done this reluctantly but my right knee pays the price if I try to propel the bike with it, so at least this way I don't have to give it up altogether.

Foxy_Dread How’s the Swytch working? I got an add for it came up on You tube. Looks an interesting idea as apprised to the electric bike that’s just an electric bike.

Jon after a winter drought, as soon as the Swytch was sorted in came the rain. Had one rushed spin on it. The battery seemed shit, if the same next time I will be contacting them for a replacement.

Under-the-ground Thanks. An old man’s bike made up of bits and pieces I bought cheap on the www over the years, save for the saddle and mudguards. In all honesty, it hasn’t worked out any cheaper than just buying a bike. Didn’t have a head badge, I thought it needed something. Found the sticker on eBay. $6. Hoping to get some miles in this year, even if it’s just riding local roads.

Mitaman know a couple of Brompton owners. They swear by them. There are cheaper versions, but they're lovely bits of kit. Base model's about £850 I think.
