Jon SardineTree 100% serious. Never any bother in there. Some great times, really cool, as in friendly, crowd. Cabs from across from The Pointers would take you. After invariably ended up in Jooves or at a party somewhere.
space If it's in a proper fireplace you might benefit from having a fan sat on top of it. They really help to circulate the heat before it goes up the chimney.
Travis_Bickle space it's sealed. There are panels to reflect the heat out. We lucked out with this house. The people who had it before showed it a lot of love. Thank fuck I won't have to paint all this for a while....someone's done a lot of work
Jon otis EEP but he lived in Osmondthorpe. I remember those baseball caps, plain wool. We all bought them in the Merrion Centre for 50p a pop. I had a green one and a burgundy one. Forget who went for the bright yellow one. Sad to learn he died a few years back. Had some great times with him. Cocky fucker but funny with it.
heyho Travis_Bickle jeez those steps bring back memories. Once watched a rather pissed lass clamber up them only to start hurling abuse at the bouncer. The bouncer smacked her and she fell down those stairs onto her head. Blood was seeping from somewhere. Me and my mate Breeze looked up at the bouncer, nervously smiled and walked up the steps and in. See no evil, speak no evil...
heyho SardineTree never any issues in the place but it was the bravest that walked up. or the foolish. Used to go and watch a band in the Eagle and say 'we will get a taxi'. Then after 4-5 of those bloody Ayingerbraus we always walked. Used to get stopped a lot with bloked selling drugs and the odd blacked out car would stop next to us as we walked. I knew a lad who lived in the area and he said if that happens stop and stare back. Bit scary to be honest. I bet we were all in there at the same time. Small world
